A soft yet soul-stirring welcome

Welcome to my quiet corner of the internet for the spiritually curious, the weary-hearted, and the mothers-turned-mystics.

You might be wondering...

“What is this place?”

Hi, I’m April. And if you’re anything like me, you've felt that quiet tug—that holy ache—for something deeper.

Not just deeper success.
Not just deeper healing.
But a deeper homecoming.

“Wait… is this a Christian thing?”

Yes—though maybe not in the way you’ve experienced before.
This space is for the ones who crave communion over performance.
For the ones who’ve met Jesus in the wilderness, not just the pews.
I follow Christ wholeheartedly—and I also ask questions, wrestle gently with mystery, and delight in the beauty He weaves through motherhood, nature, and the unseen.

“Isn’t mysticism... kind of woo?”

That’s fair. The word can carry some baggage. So let’s clear that up straight away. Have you recently looked up the word? The formal definition of mysticism is a variation of:

“The belief that union with or absorption into the Deity or the absolute, or the spiritual apprehension of knowledge inaccessible to the intellect, may be attained through contemplation and self-surrender.”

When I say mysticism, I mean the kind that’s rooted in Jesus: not magic, not bypassing, but intimacy.

Mysticism, for me, is simply the deep knowing that God is not far off, but closer than breath—a Father who delights in making Himself known to His children— not just through scripture and church pews, but in every wildflower, every quadratic equation, every tender ache of the heart.

I experience God most clearly in nature—in the stillness between waves, in the delicate dance between trees. For you, it might be in the awe of science, the pattern of numbers, or the way music makes your chest bloom.

Because He is the Author of it all. Creation isn’t separate from Him—it’s the language He uses to beckon us closer. Every detail, every discipline, every atom carries the imprint of His presence.

So yes, He will come to you through what you love—because He knows you, delights in you, and longs to be known by you.

“Glad we cleared that up. So what exactly will I find here?”

For now, you’ll find reflections and my musings on:

  • Spiritual motherhood (and mothering the child within aka re-parenting)

  • Christian contemplative practice

  • Inner healing through the eyes of grace

  • Integration—of the mind, heart, body, and soul

And my prayer, of course, is a Jesus who is gentle and lowly, yet gloriously powerful

“Okay, but… who is this really for?”

  • This space is for the seekers. The ones who recognize today’s culture is the most tantalizing distraction from self-exploration.

  • The ones deconstructing but not drifting.

  • The mothers holding it together all day, but unraveling just a bit behind the bathroom door.

  • The women who want to raise children in truth, but still feel like they’re finding their own.

If that’s you, welcome home.

A resting place for the spiritually hungry, the mystically curious, the mother in transformation, and the soul ready to come home.

Spiritual motherhood

Motherhood is more than a role—it’s a sacred invitation.
Here, we hold space for the tender transformation that happens when we become mothers. Whether you’re in the thick of toddlerhood or newly pregnant with possibility, this is where we explore how God meets us in the mess and the miracle.

inner healing

Healing doesn’t always look like fixing—it often looks like remembering.
In this space, we embrace the slow, gentle work of healing trauma, releasing perfectionism, and allowing the Holy Spirit to re-parent our inner child. Together, we rediscover what it means to live from a whole and holy place.

Musings & teachings
